My Winter Reading List

It has been a long winter in Toronto, I don't recall ever seeing so much snow here. This has given me the perfect excuse to curl up with a book and a cup of tea and spend hours catching up on my reading. I will confess that I don't have kids so at this point in my life I'm reading as much as I can! For those who have kids and will be taking some time off for "March break" here is a list of books (in random order) that won't disapoint:
1. Room by Emma Donoghue
2. Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton
3. The Distant Hours by Kate Morton
4. Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese
5. The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill
6. Missing by Lisa Jackson
7. A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick
8. Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
9. Still Alice by Lisa Genova
10. Left Neglected by Lisa Genova
11. The Salt Road by Jane Johnson

And my husband has been enjoying Cleopatra by Stacey Shiff and The Ascent of Money by Niall Ferguson.

    Hey Les! Excited to read your posts regularly. Am currently reading The Distant Hours i and have Room cued up on my Kindle. Glad they won't be disappointing cause I usually love your recommendations.
